Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent and at least 25 years old. Must have a valid Illinois driver’s license and previous experience in 24/7 care.
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in a Human Services field or MHP qualified and 2 years experience in 24/7 care
Skills: Must be organized, able to multi-task, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, basic computer skills, and detail oriented. Must be able to interact with, and relate to, diverse groups of people. Must be able to demonstrate leadership skills and have the ability to recognize and report issues or concerns pertaining to program operations. Must have the strength/mobility needed to perform Therapeutic Crisis Intervention.
Miscellaneous: Must pass all pre-employment drug screens and background clearances. Must maintain driving clearances.
Program Population: The youth in this program have a complexity of mental health issues/disorders. The intensity of these mental health issues warrants placement in a highly structured, supervised and safe therapeutic environment. The focus of the program is to provide crisis stabilization/management, behavioral management, and clinical treatment in effort to reduce the mental health disturbance and assist the youth in returning to a less restrictive setting. Due to the severity of youth’s mental health issues in their program the use of physical restraints and/or seclusion are necessary at time.
