We are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual for our Nurturing Parent team. As a Program Manager, you will foster a work culture that embodies the core values of Spero Family Services and help drive positive changes for the clients we serve.

Nurturing Parent is geared towards equipping families with essential skills. Its primary goal is to teach positive parenting behaviors to prevent families from relapsing, reduce the rate of juvenile delinquency, and break the cycle of abuse. Nurturing Parent provides community-based, in-home services to multiple counties in Southcentral and Southern Illinois with offices in Mt. Vernon, Olney, and Murphysboro.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program Management: Provide oversight to program(s) as assigned. Duties may include program implementation, budgeting, documentation, file reviews, quality/risk management, and client outcomes.
  • Staffing and Supervision: Oversee the staffing and supervision of employees as assigned. Duties may include overseeing the recruitment and retention of staff, interviewing and hiring, providing oversight and support, and providing appropriate corrective action plans for staff when necessary.
  • Documentation: Ensure all documentation and reports are accurate and completed in a timely manner.
  • Community Relations: Assist in representing the agency and advocating for needed services. Ensure collaboration and strong communication with community partners.
  • Other: Other duties as assigned.
Requirements

Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in an approved field, valid driver's license, and previous experience required. Master's Degree, 5 years relevant experience, and previous supervisory experience preferred.

Travel: Travel will be required for this position. The Program Manager will be expected to visit each office location regularly.

Skills: Must be organized, able to multi-task, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, basic computer skills, and detail oriented. Must be able to interact with, and relate to, diverse groups of people. Must be able to demonstrate leadership skills and have the ability to recognize and report issues or concerns pertaining to program operations.

Miscellaneous: Must pass all pre-employment drug screens and background clearances. Must be willing to travel and work flexible hours to meet the needs of the program. Required to work in clients’ homes and community settings.
